2 Day Open Enrollment Trainings: 1 Day Adolescent Update Trainings
The two-day workshop includes a didactic overview of the Matrix Model and experiential exercises. There will be special emphasis on familiarizing the audience with the most recent findings regarding psychosocial interventions that have proven useful in treating Methamphetamine abusers.
What
is the Matrix Model?
A
proven effective protocol that has been used to treat thousands of methamphetamine,
alcohol, and other substance abuse patients.
Why
it works
The
Model has been refined over a 20 year period. It is an easy-to-use manualized
program that integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, contingency management,
motivational interviewing, and other elements to give patients the skills
and understanding they need to overcome addiction.

Participants
in this training
will be able to:
—Describe the various elements that
comprise the Matrix Model.
—Describe how the Matrix Model differs
from other types of substance abuse and chemical dependency treatments.
—Describe the usefulness of the Matrix
format of cognitive behavioral manualized treatment with difficult
and complex populations, such as people with stimulant use disorders.
—Incorporate elements of the Matrix
Model into existing treatment programs.
