Many individuals in need of alcohol and drug treatment also suffer from co-occurring psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorders that require medication. Matrix clinicians work closely with psychiatrists in the community to incorporate medication into the treatment plan when appropriate and coordinate patient care. These efforts allow for the highest level of clinical excellence during substance abuse treatment and provide additional support for those struggling with mental health problems.
