Associate Director & Director of Research

Michael McCann is the Associate Director and Director of Research for Matrix Institute on Addictions.

Mr. McCann was one of the founders of Matrix Institute. He contributed to the development of the Matrix Model and has implemented and directed many NIDA-funded research projects and CSAT-funded programs for Matrix.

Mr. McCann trains and lectures on evidence-based behavioral interventions, pharmacologic treatments, methamphetamine and opioid dependence, and on the implementation of research findings into clinical practice.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from John Carroll University in Ohio, and his Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of California Santa Barbara.
