Janice Stimson, Psy.D
Director, West Los Angeles Office

Janice Stimson is the Director of Matrix Institute’s West Los Angeles office.

Dr. Stimson has worked at Matrix Institute since 1999. She oversees the Matrix Model adult program and has been involved in numerous research projects including a Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) funded “Effective Adolescent Treatment” grant, a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) funded smoking cessation study and a Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) funded grant for improving addiction treatment. Previously, she served as the Clinical Director at Matrix Institute’s Orange County office where she coordinated clinical services alongside research projects. Before coming to Matrix she was the Clinical Director of the Musicians’ Assistance Program in Hollywood, California.

Dr. Stimson received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She is a licensed psychologist in the State of California.
