2013 Matrix Outcome Summary
West Los Angeles
Description and purpose. Matrix Institute tracks treatment outcomes for the people in our programs. We look at a number of things, including average length of stay, rates of completion and success, drug and alcohol use prior to discharge, attendance in groups, and satisfaction.
We do this in order to measure our program’s success and to make sure patients are satisfied with the treatment they receive. If necessary we make improvements to ensure the best treatment and a positive experience.
“Success Rate.” Treatment programs are often asked “what is your success rate?” Many programs make claims of 100% success, a “cure,” or claim high success rates with little or no supportive data. Matrix collects data on all clients who enter treatment and we present outcomes based upon real numbers. We usually say when asked that our success rate is about 70% and it is supported by the data displayed below.
The success of each individual patient is related to what changes the person makes in his or her life. Everyone has control over the chances of their own success. Each person can be 100% successful.
The Beginning Services Survey is the survey clients are asked to fill out at their first visit.
These ratings reflect a positive first impression.
Satisfaction Surveys are collected quarterly from all active clients.
These ratings meet the Matrix Institute’s minimum standard (4.0) for each category and reflect a high degree of program satisfaction.
